Although India’s drug regulator told the Delhi high court that it needs the ‘expert opinion’ of the animal husbandry department to ban aceclofenac, nimesulide and ketoprofen, at least two agencies of the Union government had approached the CDSCO in the past to ban them, citing various pieces of scientific evidence.
