- Are abusive, intimidating, threatening or inflammatory
- Make offensive generalisations
- Ramble without a point
- Peddle pseudoscience
- Lower the debate with irrelevant whataboutery
- Use offensive or insensitive language
- Are typed in all-caps
- Are typed in a language other than English
- Are irrelevant to the article in question
- Contain self-promotional material
- Resort to ad hominem attacks or run down a piece with adjectives rather than arguments
- Give gratuitous advice to The Wire
The Wire also reserves the right to edit comments to remove material that does not conform to our guidelines.
